The Rotary Club of Bangkok South has an extensive range of charity programmes and projects that it carries out both in Bangkok and throughout the country.
Our projects are designed to assist those in our community who are poor, ill or disadvantaged in various ways, with a specific emphasis on sustainable projects benefiting children, low income communities, hospitals and schools.
We do not believe in simply handing out cheques.
Every year we undertake 30-40 discrete projects, each having the hands on involvement of at least one of our members. Each project must pass a rigorous assessment and approval process before it is undertaken, so sponsors, donors and supporters can be assured that their contributions are used both wisely and productively. Our Club’s projects have received corporate, NGO and foreign government support, as well as recognition from the Thai Government and Rotary International.
Projects range from our signature programme, Clean Drinking Water for Provincial Schools, through assistance to various homes and institutions for the handicapped, deaf and blind, a day out at the seaside for over 200 handicapped children, income generating and educational projects in low income communities, and provision of library kits to provincial schools, to support for Rotary International’s child health and Polio Plus programmes.
