Library Fellowships
The Rotary Club of Bangkok South has a long-standing tradition of working with local Rotary Clubs throughout Thailand to improve the lives and opportunities of the rural population. The most prominent of those initiatives is our clean drinking water programme.
Linking in with that programme is our Library Fellowship Programme. Under this initiative, kits of 120 Thai language texts, selected by Chulalongkorn University’s Sasin Graduate Institute, are donated to rural school libraries for use by students in Primary Grades 1 to 6 (ages 6-12).
The schools are selected in cooperation with local Rotary Clubs with whom we have successfully worked on clean drinking water and other projects. Recipient schools are smaller, poor schools, in rural areas, with limited library facilities.
The cost of a library kit is THB 12,000. The books are obtained at a significant discount and so their true value far exceeds this figure. This is real value for money.
Under our Library Fellowship programme, you can sponsor one of these kits for a mere THB 12,000.
